The specialist behind Care Anaesthetics

Dr Miad Habibi is a private specialist anaesthetist who holds accreditation at many private hospitals in the Perth region. He obtained his medical degree from the University of Adelaide and completed specialist training with a fellowship year focused on obstetric anaesthesia.

Areas of practice

Dr Habibi has experience across many anaesthetic specialties. His practice is focused on providing anaesthesia for orthopaedics, bariatric surgery, plastics, pain, urology, ENT and obstetrics.

How he works

In the week or two before your procedure we will contact you via SMS & email with an anaesthetic survey to complete. The survey is done online and we are able to both review it after it is complete. Dr Habibi will then review this and prepare for a safe anaesthetic for you. In the instance there is more information needed, you will receive a call in the days leading up to your procedure.

For more complex or longer duration procedures, Dr Habibi will contact you on the day or evening prior to your procedure to go through what can be expected, and answer any questions you may have.

Beyond theatre

Dr Habibi is a member of the Australian Society of Anaesthetists (ASA) and the Australian Medical Association (AMA), and takes part in the Wellbeing, Leadership and Teaching special interest groups.

After a day of work, his outside interests include all things creative. Current projects include A.I. related software and hardware applications to meet the evolving needs of modern anaesthesia, healthcare, peri-operative planning & optimisation, and projects outside of medicine also.
